Here is a selection of photos taken within a 60 mile (100 km) radius of our base. Most were taken during the Winters, which are good for mud, but we do get excellent weather here in Summer, which means that most of the tracks are dry and dusty.
The fords are rarely as deep as photographed, and these photos were taken after exceptional rainfall, and some have disappeared, the stream now passing through a culvert. Some of the rougher tracks are for the more experienced off roaders.

In early April we had a group, mainly winch equipped, who when they saw an abandoned track could not resist the temptation of trying to drive up it.

During 2002 Land Rover Monthly ran a competition in which the first prize was an all-inclusive Mudplug short break holiday, and the winner was Shaun from the North East of England. He and Dawn decided to wait until March 2003 before coming to France, as when their daughter Holly was 2 years old, she would be able to come as well.

During March we had several Discoverys, both manual and automatics, a Classic Range Rover, and some Defenders from the UK and Belgium. This has been the driest spring in years, with no rain at all since the snow at he end of January.
